After a consultation last year, Auckland Transport (AT) has confirmed they will narrow the road at the corner of Manapau Rd with Meadowbank Rd (opposite the retirement village) in an effort to make the intersection safer.
The only change from the original consultation will be an extension of the no stopping lines further into Manapau St.
Main points:
- Work is expected to begin in June 2018
- AT does not expect the narrower intersection to impede any future bus service that may go to/from the station
- A pedestrian crossing on Meadowbank Rd is not included in this plan but AT may consider it as a future project.
