Having strongly advocated for the purchase of Colin Maiden Park, the Orakei Local Board now wants to hear your thoughts on how it should be used.
A public open day will be held on Saturday 20 June from 11am to 1pm at Colin Maiden Park maintenance depot, Merton Road, entry at Gate 5, where you can talk with board members and planners.
Three options have been developed following initial consultation with stakeholders.
All options provide for the existing sports codes to remain and introduce some new sports to the park.
Hockey fields, a multi-use field for community events and informal sports and a new multi-use sports and training facility are also being suggested.
Submissions will be open from 15 June to 13 July. Visit shapeauckland.co.nz to find out more or view a hardcopy of the consultation document at Remuera, St Heliers, Mt Wellington and Glen Innes libraries, St Heliers Community Centre or the Orakei Local Board office from 8 to 30 June.
