Local Info

Welcome to Meadowbank and St Johns! You’ll find our two suburbs on the banks of St Johns Hill, neatly divided by St Johns Rd. It’s a family-friendly area with many parks, reserves and playgrounds. The eastern bays of St Heliers, Kohimarama and Okahu Bay are a short distance away for those who love the water, and motorway on-ramps are usually less than 10 minutes drive (depending on traffic!)

We are less than 10km from the central city, and have easy access by public transport to Auckland Central Business District (CBD). There are two nearby train stations at Meadowbank and Glen Innes, and many bus routes service the area.

There is no ‘stereotypical’ resident of Meadowbank and St Johns. We welcome new residents and believe we are all contributing to a diverse and interesting community!

Whether you’re new to the area or been here a while, we hope these pages contain some helpful information. If you think anything is missing, please contact us and let us know.
